PromptPace — Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the PromptPace app for iOS and Android developed by GLEXA CONSULTING S.L. ("we", "us"). It explains what information the app handles and what never leaves your device.

Summary

• Your videos, audio recordings and scripts never leave your phone. We cannot access them.
• The app works without an account — no sign-up, no email, no name.
• We collect anonymous usage statistics (via Google Firebase Analytics) to understand how the app is used and improve it.
• We do not collect the advertising ID, we show no ads, and we sell no data.

Content that stays on your device

The following data is created and stored only on your device:

• Video and audio recordings — saved directly to your device's media gallery or photo library. They are never uploaded, transmitted or accessed by us.
• Scripts you write — stored in a local database inside the app's private storage.
• App settings (text size, scroll speed, display preferences) — stored locally.
• Microphone audio used for voice-activated scrolling — voice detection runs entirely on your device using an on-device model. The audio analyzed for this feature is not recorded for this purpose, not stored beyond your own recordings, and never sent anywhere.

You can delete recordings and scripts at any time from within the app or from your device's gallery/photo library. Uninstalling the app deletes all scripts and settings; recordings you saved to the gallery remain on your device until you delete them manually.

Data collected automatically

We collect anonymous usage statistics, such as:

• App events (e.g. a recording was started or completed) — never the content of your recordings or scripts.
• General device information (device model, operating system version, language, country derived from IP).
• A random app-instance identifier that is not linked to your identity.

The app does not collect your advertising ID. This data is processed by Google LLC on our behalf under the Firebase terms; see also Google's privacy policy. Analytics data is retained by Firebase for a limited period (currently up to 14 months) and is used only in aggregate form.

The app also uses Firebase App Check, which verifies that requests to Firebase services come from an authentic copy of the app. This processes a device integrity token but no personal information.

App permissions

• Camera — to record video. Used only while you record.
• Microphone / Speech Recognition — to record audio and to detect your voice for automatic scrolling. Used only while you record or use voice-activated mode.
• Storage / Photo Library — to save your recordings to the device's gallery (requires specific Media/Storage permissions on Android, and Photo Library access on iOS).

The app never uses the camera or microphone in the background.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties. The only third party that processes data on our behalf is Google (Firebase Analytics and App Check), as described above.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy (for example, if a future version of the app adds new features), we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
